The Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases (PSSLD) is the leading organization of scientists and healthcare professionals of Pakistan, committed to preventing and curing liver disease.

Hepatology has been recognized in Pakistan as a discipline only in the decade, and PSSLD has played a seminal and unifying role in focusing interest on Liver problems. PSSLD has organized scientific and public awareness programs to educate medical community and  public about liver diseases.

PSSLD sponsors one annual meeting  and a  Single Topic Conference each year. Our quarterly publication informs about the activity of the Society undertaken in the last quarter, includes updates about coming events and important meetings. Journal of the PSSLD would be launched at an appropriate time as the society would grow in maturity and strength.

PSSLD's membership includes all professionals dedicated to hepatobiliary discoveries and patient care. Mentoring, sharing knowledge, and dedication to professional growth and development are among the core values of PSSLD and its members.

Liver transplantation is still not available to Pakistanis in Pakistan and PSSLD would continue its efforts to develop this facility in Pakistan in Public/Private sector at the earliest by influencing the policy makers.
